GLIG PosterBROADWAY BOUND is returning to the Paul Robeson Performing Arts Center at Rainier Beach High School this Summer to present a world premiere staging of a new musical, directed by Broadway Bound’s founder and Executive Artistic Director, Jimmy Nixon, and choreographed by Sonia Dawkins. A full 15-piece orchestra will support the performances.

GOD LIVES IN GLASS is the premiere of an original musical that reaches across cultural and religious boundaries to promote unity, inter-faith dialogue, acceptance of diversity and connecting with the spirituality within us and the world around us. The musical is based on books by Dr. Robert J. Landy, head of the Drama Therapy program at New York University, who interviewed over five hundred children from different cultures, races and religions. The insights and visions of these young spiritual thinkers are funny, moving, entertaining and enlightening.

GOD LIVES IN GLASS will be performed by actors ages 14-21 and opens on August 20 for four performances. A possible extension at the Moore Theatre in Seattle would add performances the following weekend.

Here’s the press release for GOD LIVES IN GLASS.
