We are 8 weeks into the farm stand and are grateful to say that it’s been a large success! It’s been a great pleasure to see both new faces and returning patrons making their visits, even bringing back our pink reusable bags from last year. Now that the community has familiarized themselves with our new location, there have been no issues grabbing the attention of Rainier Beach residents.

Popular produce we’ve been giving out includes chard, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, and snap peas. We’ve even ventured out and ordered items we haven’t gotten in previous seasons, such as purple cauliflower, kohlrabi, and amaranth—all which have been crowd favorites.

With the help of our new farm stand manager, Kerry White, we’ve been a lot more active on our Instagram page and consistent with our posting schedule. From recording weekly reels of produce we have for that week, to featuring our partnered farms, we have been gaining traction and getting closer to our goal of reaching 1,000 followers by the end of the season!

Excitingly, we’ve also released new merchandise this year. We have hats, T-shirts, and hoodies. We felt as though it was time to switch it up with a color change, from purple which we’ve had since the very beginning (2018) to a deep, vibrant blue!
