Just in case you couldn’t make it last Sunday, here are a few photos from the performances of the  SE Seattle Community Youth Orchestra (SESCYO) and NW Tap Connection at the Folklife Festival.

SESCYO performed three numbers, mixing rhythms, solos, dance, and audience participation into an overall celebration of the power of music to connect and inspire:

NW Tap Connection was poetry in motion, with aspirations of creating SE Seattle’s own Alvin Ailey-level performance ensemble.
