The Danna K. Johnston Foundation / Successful Youth is hosting “Prep for Success!”  – a  week-long summer bridge program open to all incoming RBHS 9th graders. Our goal is to make sure everyone in the program is prepared to transition successfully to 9th grade and promote on time to 10th grade!

  The first 20 students to register and complete the program will receive a $25 award. 

 Prep for Success! 9th Grade Summer Bridge Workshop Series

August 20 – August 24, 2012 

 What: Prep for Success!  is a summer bridge program for incoming RBHS 9th graders.  We will host workshops on: calculating your GPA; interactive study skills games that teach you organization and decision making; resources open to you at Rainier Beach High School and more!   We  will take a ½ day field trip to the University of Washington! 

 When: 8/20,  6:00pm – 8:00pm – “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! / Special parent/guardian workshop  (to be held at the Seattle Public Library, Rainier Beach Branch); 8/21 – 8/24, 9:00am – 12:30pm – Student workshops  (to be held at the Rainier Beach High School Library)

 Where: Rainier Beach High School, 8815 Seward Park Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98118 

 Meals are provided on all days! 

 ** $25 award for first 20 students to: (1) register and complete at least four of the five workshops; (2) have a parent or guardian participate in the 8/20 session;  (3) be on time; (4) do all work assigned; and (5) participate positively in every activity.
