Rainier Beach/SEED was awarded a $65,000 Only in Seattle Grant from the Office of
Economic Development to help strengthen the Rainier Beach Merchants Association
(RBMA) through capacity building and marketing. SEEDArts will be partnering
with the Rainier Chamber of Commerce to develop leadership, annual events and
promotional strategies.

SEED & RBMA have contracted with Patrice Thomas to fulfill the role of
Rainier Beach  Business District Coordinator; you will see her a lot in
Rainier Beach this year. She is a resident of Rainier Beach and has worked in
and with the business district for several years and is serving as Neighborhood Coordinator for Rainier Beach Moving Forward.

Art Walk Rainier Beach will be one of the major events again this year, along
with the launch of a new website for Rainier Beach Square and the Rainier Beach
