City budget to fund Fresh Bucks program 206-684-4000

Fresh Bucks……..

  • is a program that gives low income families in our city more food dollars to eat healthy.
  • gives EBT-users $1 to $1 match up to $10 at one visit at a market per day.
  • boosts business for our local farmers and farmers markets, putting dollars back into Washington’s local economy.

In the first month this year Fresh Bucks in Seattle was very successful.

There was 1,331 EBT transaction, that had bring in over $18,000 of SNAP/Food Stamp dollars and had distributing around $12,500 in Fresh Bucks.
