Help shape the future of the Rainier Beach Learning Garden!

Community meeting March 23rd, 6-8pm, South Shore School

The Rainier Beach Learning Garden is a hidden gem behind South Shore School and the Rainier Beach Community Center, providing hands-on education to more than 400 students since it’s start in September 2009.  The garden teaches sustainability, care for the natural environment, and healthy eating and living.

Over the next year, we will be expanding the garden in order to increase our educational offerings to local youth and community members.  We want your input!

The Rainier Beach Learning Garden will be holding three community meetings to gather your input on your favorite gardens and what garden elements you’d like to see in your neighborhood.  Please mark your calendar for the next meeting, March 23rd, 6-8pm in the South Shore School Rotunda.  Food and childcare will be provided.
