You are invited to join the King County Community Organizing Program and their Citizen Advisory Board to learn about the Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) study.

This study, which is a collaboration between the CDC and Kaiser Permanente, analyzes the relationship between multiple categories of childhood trauma and health and behavioral outcomes later in life.  Social service agencies have embraced this data as a way to rethink their health models on how to solve child, family, and social problems.

Our presenter, Jane Place, has been certified by the Washington Family Policy Council, who has taken a lead role in bringing the ACE data to our state.  She has presented this study to dozens of groups around the state and is always inspired by the reactions to this groundbreaking information.
