The Corner Greeters have a planning meeting every Monday, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. These meetings include a peace circle like the one you can see above or below. The questions for last week’s mens caucus circle were “What is the family situation you grew up in?”, “Where did you get your definition of what a good man is?” “What does it mean to be a good man to you?”, and “What do you know about Sexism, and gender inequality in the workplace and in the world?”. Although the questions vary each week each question/week gives a chance for everyone to reflect on their views of the world.  Another thing that happens at these planning meetings is getting ready for the Corner Greeters event that happen each week.

 

The Corner Greeters, who are young people from the Rainier Beach neighborhood, are assigned roles which translates into the events that happen. We are working hard at coming up with new questions for our surveys. New surveys are coming soon, so stop by a corner greeter event to check it out!
