The food justice team is excited to announce that our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) boxes are making a return for the 2024 season on July 12th! After a successful launch last year, we’re continuing to grow the program to meet the needs of our customers and make locally grown produce more accessible to the community. Our boxes will still feature a sliding scale option, allowing folks to pay what they can for their produce, with the choice of home delivery or pick-up at the RBAC Food Hub. What’s new this year is the introduction of 4 different box sizes and styles. Smaller households or those needing less produce can request a “Smallie” which serves 1-2 people, while larger households can request a “Biggie”. Last season, we noticed that some customers preferred having more fruit in their boxes, so this year we’re offering a “Fruit Only” CSA option. Finally, we’ll also be offering an “Occasional Specialty Box” for folks who want to try more unique items.
