We are thrilled to announce that our 2nd Annual Fundraising Event was a tremendous success! On Saturday, June 1, Rainier Beach Action Coalition hosted an unforgettable celebration at the Ethiopian Community in Seattle’s (ECS) African Village. The theme of “Food and Culture: Celebrating Diversity and Innovation” brought our neighborhood together in a powerful and inspiring way.

The event featured delicious food, captivating performances from Rell Be Free and Northwest Tap Connection. As well as a very special keynote address from Nikkita Oliver. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with fellow community members and our wonderful staff, all while supporting a cause close to our hearts, the Food Innovation Center. We are delighted to share that we are well on our way to reaching our fundraising goal of $30,000, thanks to your generous support and participation.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the event’s success. Your support helps us continue our mission of positive change in Rainier Beach.

Be on the lookout for our upcoming news story, which will provide a full, in-depth recap of the luncheon event. We’re excited to share all the highlights and successes with you.

Stay tuned, and thank you for your continued support of Rainier Beach Action Coalition! Together, we make a difference.

Best,
Mawahib Ismail
