Don’t let a youth or youth serving organization miss out on recognition because of a missed deadline! You still have time to nominate youth or youth-serving organizations for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Awards. The deadline for submission is Friday, November 19! The nominations form is available here: 2011 Nomination Form.

As you may know, the Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Initiative is a partner with the Seattle Center in hosting and presenting these awards. This is a wonderful opportunity to give our community support to young people and youth-serving organizations working toward peace and the reduction of violence in our neighborhoods and lives. The award ceremony will be held at Seattle Center on Saturday, January 15, 2011.

Please get the word out to your school and community partners in Seattle. And send in those nominations!!
